Meet Pastor Griffin Gulledge


Pastor Griffin Gulledge was called as pastor of Fayetteville First Baptist Church in January of 2025. He is a native of Trussville, AL in the metro Birmingham area, and has served churches throughout Alabama and Georgia. He is married to Rachel. Both of them grew up as the children of pastors and have carried with them a love for the church from their earliest days.
Together they have two children, Rosemary and Walt. Griffin’s driving ministry passions include Bible preaching and theological teaching, life-on-life discipleship, and championing the cause of global missions. Griffin has taken part in missions work and preaching on three continents, and is excited to be part of what God is doing to advance the Great Commission at FFBC.
Griffin is a graduate of Auburn University (B.A.) and Beeson Divinity School at Samford University (M.Div.). He is currently completing his Ph.D. at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Systematic Theology focusing on the doctrine of Scripture. A frequently published author, you can find his writing online at numerous publications and news outlets. Griffin also has worked along the way to serve in various capacities in association and Convention life, and in 2021 was awarded the ERLC’s John Leland Religious Liberty Award for his religious liberty advocacy work. Additionally, he is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.
